What we collect and why

From the contact form: your name, your email and, if you fill them in, your project name, how many dates you run per year and your message. There is a single purpose: replying to you and working out together whether Aforo fits.

Alongside the message we store the language you were browsing in, where the visit came from (referrer or utm_source parameter), your browser, and — if you came from the calculator — the values you had entered. They let us answer with concrete numbers instead of a generic reply.

We do not use this data for marketing communications and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box on the form before sending it, and on the legitimate interest in handling commercial enquiries you initiate (Article 6(1)(f)).

Retention period

We keep messages for a maximum of 24 months from the last contact. If we haven't ended up working together by then, they are deleted. If you become a client, the data is kept for the duration of the contract and for the statutory limitation periods that apply.

Processors

Form submissions are stored in Google Sheets, operated by Google Ireland Limited. If you accept analytics cookies, visits are measured with Google Analytics 4, also operated by Google Ireland Limited. International transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The notification email is sent with Resend (infrastructure hosted in the European Union). The site is hosted by Vercel.

None of them use your data for their own purposes; they act as processors on our behalf.

Cookies and analytics

The NEXT_LOCALE cookie remembers the language you picked. It is a functional cookie and does not require prior consent.

The aforo-consent cookie stores whether you accepted or refused analytics cookies, for six months. It exists to honour your choice and does not require a separate consent.

Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) only loads if you press Accept on the notice. Google Ireland Limited may then set analytics cookies (_ga and similar) and process data in the United States under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not use this measurement for advertising or to build remarketing audiences. If you refuse, no request is made to Google and those cookies are not installed. You can change your mind via the Cookies link in the footer.

Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights measure visits in aggregate, without cookies or personal identifiers, and do not depend on that notice.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to hola@aforo.events from the address you contacted us with. We reply within 30 days at the latest.

If you believe your request has not been handled properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
